Ever wonder how that
Massachusetts judge
who took your children
away and stripped you
of your house and assets
got to sit on the bench?
All judges were approved,
usually by unanimous,
vote, by the Governors
Council at a public hearing.
The audio for their
hearings over the last
couple of years can be heard here:

Life in Prison for Being a Cad? Only in Massachusetts.

LIfe in prison for having sex under false pretenses (however that is defined) should result in a life sentence according to one Massachusetts lawmaker. Rep. Koutoujian of Waltham, Massachusetts has filed a bill (H3154) which will be heard by the Joint Judiciary Comittee hearing on September 27.

The bill (http://www.malegislature.gov/Bills/187/House/H03154) reads as follws:

"SECTION 1. Chapter 265 of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after section 22A the following section:-

Section 22B. Whoever has sexual intercourse or unnatural sexual intercourse with a person having obtained that person’s consent by the use of fraud, concealment or artifice, and who thereby intentionally deceived such person so that a reasonable person would not have consented but for the deception, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for life or any term of years. As used in this statute, “fraud” or “artifice” shall not be construed to mean a promise of future consideration."

Mr. Koutoujian is apparently not old enough yet to understand that 'reason' is not a part of romance and love making.
