For Immediate Release Mass. Fathers and Barbara Johnson Head to D.C. for Million Dads March Fatherhood Coalition Joins National Effort

BOSTON, June 14 – The Fatherhood Coalition join former gubernatorial candidate attorney Barbara Johnson in her convoy to Washington, DC tomorrow to attend the national Million Dad March on the steps of the nation's Capitol. All those who will be travelling will be meeting in front of the Suffolk County Probate & Family Court (Edward Brooke Courthouse) at 24 New Chardon Street, in downtown Boston, today (Saturday) at 12:30 p.m.

Fathers rights advocates from across the nation will be converging on our nation's capital to bring their case to the attention of the nation's political leaders.

Barbara Johnson will lead a procession from Massachusetts in a hearse accompanied by dozens of fathers, including many Fatherhood Coalition members. Her entourage will be emblazoned with fitting symbols of the national disgrace that has come to be known as the "War on Fatherhood."

Along with signs reading "Fatherhood is Dying," Justice is Dead," and "Families are Suffering," and a luggage rack with riderless hobby horses, a "R.I.P. Fatherhood" coffin, and empty strollers, a convoy of vehicles will complete the entourage.

More and more fathers are heeding the call of the Fatherhood Coalition and activists such as Barbara Johnson to demand their God-given and US Constitutionally-guaranteed, inalienable rights. They are refusing to settle their divorces on conditions that merely "allow" them to maintain some meager relationship with their children (visitation "rights") as long as they pay usurious so-called "child support" (a.k.a. "politically correct alimony") and don't do anything to incur mom's further wrath.

Instead, they are standing up to the feminized court system and demanding equal treatment; that is, an equal share in the upbringing of their children, with both parents bearing the responsibility to provide for the children when in their care.

According to Coalition Spokesman Mark Charalambous, "For over thirty years, social policy on gender and family issues have been driven by feminism. As a direct result of this assault on fatherhood and the biological nuclear family, we are witnessing unprecedented levels of social pathologies due to the deliberate and systematic discarding of fathers from the lives of their children."

Twenty-four million children live in homes without their biological father, and children from fatherless homes account for:

• 70% of juveniles in state-operated institutions (Source: U.S. Dept. of Justice, Special Report).
• 71% of pregnant teenagers (Source: US Dept. of Health & Human Services).
• 63% of youth suicides (Source: U.S. Dept. of Health & Human Services, Bureau of the Census).

Attorney Johnson has been Massachusetts' most vocal critic of the prevalence of false allegations of child abuse and domestic violence used to destroy good fathers. Her web site, www.falseallegations.com, has come under direct attack from the Board of Bar Overseers.

According to Johnson, "We must call attention to Federal legislators that bonus incentives from the Federal government to the States are killing fathers and families, and making people who are truly abused invisible in the Sea of False Allegations of abuse."

On her web site, she challenges federal policy makers to:

• STOP paying money to the States for each person restrained where the allegation is not true.
• STOP paying money to the States for each person falsely arrested under the Domestic Violations laws.
• STOP paying money to the States for each child taken from a family and put up for adoption.
• STOP paying money to the States for applying the Child Support Guidelines where the guidelines are not applicable.
• STOP paying money to the States for applying the Child Support Guidelines where one parent is denied access to the children.
