Greenfield, MA., March 13, 2001 – The Franklin County chapter of the Fatherhood Coalition will host a protest rally Wednesday, March 14, 7:30 a.m. at the Greenfield Town Common, on the corner of Federal and Main Streets.

The group is protesting the blatant and rampant sex discrimination found in the Massachusetts Probate & Family Courts. They want the court to stop their abuse of fathers and children in custody cases. Supporters from Northampton, Pittsfield, Springfield and elsewhere are expected to attend. All friends of justice and equality are welcome.

"We are looking to end a system wherein two parents enter the courtroom, and only one comes out," said the group’s director, Daniel Grubbs. "We support our children’s fundamental right to have two parents involved in their lives."
