NORTHAMPTON, Massachusetts More than 15 supporters affiliated with The Fatherhood Coalition Hampshire/Franklin chapter attended a 1-1/2 hour protest today at the corner of Merrick Lane and King Street adjacent to the Hampshire Division Hall of Justice.
Also joining in support of the fathers rights rally were about five members from F.A.C.T. (Fathers And Children Together), a group based in Hampden County.
"The turnout was once again positive," said Keith Richardson, event coordinator. The rally, as an outreach to fathers and children, brought in five new members to the chapter.
"The growth of our organization is phenomenal," Richardson said. Indicating there are many more people around Western Massachusetts who need the coalitions support and help.
The Fatherhood Coalition, a non-profit all volunteer organization founded in 1994, not unlike F.A.C.T., supports "shared parenting" and seeks to promote fairness in the adjudication of family law.
