Subject: Mass. Fatherhood News: Emily Rooney TV show The Fathers Group's legislative specialist Susan Leary forwarded this. I send it on to you. It's positive news, with an opportunity for action. John Maguire Fathers & Families News Bureau ========================= Subject: Emily Rooney TV show Last night, on WGBH TV, Emily Rooney had on Ben Bradlee, Jr., the Deputy Managing Editor at The Boston Globe. Emily asked him if readers had read the "Men on the Verge" series. Bradlee looked surprised by the question and said a lot of people are interested in it. He said, "you wouldn't believe the number of mail we're getting from this." Another person said the last article in the series was the best and they should write more about the fathers groups. Bradlee said the idea for the series came from last year; though they knew these groups had been around a while, they were now becoming a growing force in the legislature. Emily showed a snip of Kate Zernike's interview at New England Cable News. Zernike said the groups were angry, but they were asking for reasonable legislative changes, "like they want to receive their children's report cards." Moral of the story: if you haven't sent in your feedback about the series, please do so. E-mail: men@globe.com; tel: 617-474-2525.
