This is some correspondence I had with Greg Hill "the Hill Man", the morning DJ on WAAF. WAAF has to one of the most popular radio stations in the area. Below that is our correspondence after I heard celucci say he voted for the woman only health club bill because "all men are pigs" Steve *********** Hello Greg, This morning I was horrified but not surprised when I heard the Acting Governor commenting about his justification for introducing the discriminatory woman only health club bill, a bill that even the National Organization of Woman could not support. As you must recall he said he voted for the legislation because he "thinks that all men are pigs". As Co-Director of a local chapter of the Fatherhood Coalition, a Fathers Advocacy Group, I can readily speak of the Acting Governors Bias on Gender issues as he panders to the female vote regardless of the consequence to men, and their children. The Acting Governor supports some of the most Anti-Father, Anti-Family legislation we have ever seen. One Bill, advertised to protect children from abuse, will guarantee that thousands of children will not know their fathers because they have at one time been accused of something during a divorce procedure. The devastation to our families will be enormous. In father advocacy circles the Acting Governor is considered the Anti-Christ. If you ever have a debate with the Governor on some of these issues, consider inviting us. I can guarantee you that the show will at least be entertaining. Also is it possible to get a tape recording or transcript of the Governors interview (March 17, about 9:20-9:30 AM). We would love to see him eat his words. ---------- From: Greg Hill Subject: Re: Just a "PIG" who wont be voting for the Date: Wednesday, March 18, 1998 11:27AM Thanks for the thoughtful letter. First of all, let me say I am a big fan of the Governors, so my response to you may be somewhat prejudiced. That said, you know as well as I that the Governor was only joking about men being pigs. I think he made a mistake signing that law, he was caught up in "political correctness" and this is an election year. All that aside, he made a mistake on this one. But, I tend to agree with him on most other issues. Now, that said: I also have heard of your group before and like what you are doing and think that this world is becoming somewhat of a "men are always wrong" place. And I would be happy to get the debate going between you folks if I get Cellucci in here one morning. Thanks for writing with your opinion and keep me updated on the organization. Greg ************************************************* From: Steve Basile To: Greg Hill, WAAF OK Greg, We are always hear ready to debate these issues. Thanks for replying. One last thought. What do you think the political fallout would have been in the Gov. just jokingly said, "I voted this way because I think all women are sluts". I dont think he would be able to recover.
